Project 1: Salon Spec (sold)
The given task was a spec project intended for a potential new client in the salon industry, which the sales representative hoped to propose and sell. The first design that I presented was titled ‘Length,’ characterized by a monochromatic scheme with occasional color accents. I found the contrast between the black and white hues particularly captivating. One aspect of the project that I appreciated was the client’s willingness to grant me creative liberty in creating a monthly slogan and style. The client rarely provided feedback, resulting in a successful pitch and design.
Project 1: Jewelry Spec (sold)
For the second project, the initial objective was to convince a client to advertise with us. The sales staff provided me with their website and blank pages, and I was responsible for creating the design. I carefully selected the imagery and textures that complemented the featured photos and the article content for some of the pages. The client had an impressive collection of merchandise, and I was able to capture a style that suited their brand. My design effectively communicated their family message and showcased their jewelry products.
